Who’s going to be there?
Just like Philadelphia, there will be many Film and TV stars alongside well known Artists. In my opinion, the main attraction is Samm Levine. Freaks and Geeks still has a lasting impression on my life, but for others, Super-Geek Zachary Levi will be there. The star of Chuck, Tangled, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and Shamzam! will be on hand to sign autographs and take photographs. For the current guest list, you can find more details here. But that’s not all…
The weekend will also feature many demonstrations and discussions at the Creative Stage, as well as several Pittsburgh-area creators.
When Suit Up! walked the floor in Philadelphia, we gained a better appreciation for all the creators & vendors. Pittsburgh will be no different. I recommend picking up hand-made wands from local creator Sara Danylo (The Chosen Wand) or a Comic Con Exclusive Imprint from Shawn Coss. Support your local artists!
If that isn’t your thing, you can’t go wrong with the preeminent Ghost Hunting Event Company in the 3 Rivers Area. Be sure to stop by the booth for Ghosts N’at.
And of course, friend of the Suit Up! Podcast, Kato Kaelin will be there!
Why should you go?
Just like heading to a Steelers or Buccos game, expect to see many “jerseys.” Last month, Chris and I met a lot of great people that dedicate their time and money to bring their favorite passion to life. Now, you might not see a lot of Roethlisberger or Palomalu jerseys here, but I bet you’ll see Deadpools, Gokus, and Shazams. It gets obscure too, you might see Fat Thor, Life-size Thanos, Bat-dog, or Yumeko Jabami.
Events like these are great for kids and adults alike, and with the Pirates in New York next weekend, why not head down to the David L. Lawrence Convention Center and Suit Up! with your new friends?
