The Philadelphia Eagles are 9 days into training camp, so we have a sample size to judge off of. I will be going off what we’ve seen so far to create my 1st “Stock Up, Stock Down” post of the season.
• Quez Watkins
2nd-year WR Quez Watkins has been great in camp so far. Many Eagles beat writers have called Quez the best WR in camp so far not named DeVonta Smith. He has improved is route running & has improved his ability to win at the LOS. (line of scrimmage)
• Josh Sweat
Josh Sweat has been spectacular to start camp. The one concern surrounding Sweat throughout his career was his health & if he could become a full-time starter. Hopefully, this year he can prove himself & earn an extension.
• Tyree Jackson
The QB turned TE has showed out in camp so far. He stands in at 6’7 & is athletic for his size. For the most part, Jackson has played with the 2nd team. He’s making a strong case to make the roster & is making it tough for the Eagles to release him.
• Jalen Reagor
Reagor didn’t have an ideal start to camp. He showed up out of shape & failed his physical. For the 1st few days, Reagor was limited to only drills. He’s been inconsistent, but he did have a nice one-handed grab on Thursday.
• Andre Dillard
The 2019 1st round pick is fighting for the starting LT spot in camp. But so far, he hasn’t looked all that well. It feels like everyday we hear about him getting beat in OL/DL battles. He still has time, but as of now, he’s losing this LT battle.
• John Hightower
Hightower, recently injured his groin & is week-to-week. He’s had issues with drops when healthy & for someone who’s on the “roster bubble”, you’d like to see more. There’s still time & Hightower is talented but if he continues to play the way he did when he was healthy, there’s a great chance he doesn’t make the week 1 roster.
