The 76ers are set to face off against Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks for the 2nd time this season. Make sure to catch the game tonight at 8:30 pm EST on ESPN or listen on 97.5 The Fanatic! Last time these squads met, Philadelphia won in a double-digit affair 111-97. However, the Mavericks were without co-star Kristaps Porzingis due to a back injury.
About The Mavericks
The Dallas Mavericks are 23-29 and possess the 7th seed in the Western Conference. They are coming off a close loss against the San Antonio Spurs 119-117 where Demar DeRozan hit a mid-range game winner. Tonight, the Mavs will be without rookie guard Tyrell Terry due to personal reasons. Additionally, there is a chance Kristaps Porzingis could once again be sidelined against the 76ers. He’s questionable with a right knee issue. Former 76er JJ Redick will potentially face off against his former team and is listed as questionable (sore right heel). However, some good news for Dallas is that Maxi Kleber (sore lower right leg) is probable.
Projected starters: Doncic, Richardson, Finney-Smith, Kleber, Porzingis
About The 76ers
The Philadelphia 76ers and Brooklyn Nets are once again tied for the 1st seed in the Eastern Conference. Both respective teams have the same 36-17 record and every game matters from here on out. Philadelphia is coming off of a dominant win over a young Oklahoma City Thunder squad 117-93. In that game, the 76ers were without the services of Tobias Harris (knee) and Danny Green (hip), but neither one of them is on today’s 1:30 pm injury report. The only Sixer on the IR tonight is once again George Hill as he is still rehabbing from right thumb surgery. There is no official status on newly acquired big Anthony Toliver who officially signed with the team this afternoon. Also, former Mavericks guard Seth Curry will make his return to Dallas tonight for the 1st time since he got swapped for Josh Richardson.
Projected starters: Simmons, Curry, Green, Harris, Embiid
