Recap

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES @ DALLAS COWBOYS

Dallas dominated this game essentially from start to finish, as they blew out Philadelphia 41-21. The Cowboys rushed the ball for 160 yards and two touchdowns. They had over 100 yards in the first half alone. Through the air, Dak Prescott carved up the Eagle defense with ease to the tune of 238 yards and three touchdowns on 21-26 passing.

As for the Eagles, they struggled to generate any type of offense and curiously decided to have their running backs carry the ball just three times the whole game with the first one not coming until late in the second quarter. Jalen Hurts struggled with making accurate throws, tossing his first two interceptions including a pick six. Their only highlight was a Javon Hargrave strip sack in the end zone that led to a Fletcher Cox touchdown recovery.

WASHINGTON FOOTBALL TEAM @ Buffalo Bills

Washington suffered a blowout in Buffalo, losing by a final of 43-21. They were down 21-0 before pulling within a touchdown, but the Bills poured it on in the second half to the tune of 17 unanswered until late in the game. Turnovers particularly hurt the Football Team, with Taylor Heinicke throwing two picks and Logan Thomas losing a fumble.

Buffalo moved the ball at will against what was thought to be a good Washington defense. The Bills outgained Washington 481-290 and Josh Allen threw for 358 yards and four touchdowns. Allen added a rushing touchdown to top off 122 rushing yards for Buffalo. Emmanuel Sanders hauled in two touchdowns through the air on five catches for 94 yards.

Atlanta Falcons @ NEW YORK GIANTS

The Giants fell to 0-3 after Younghoe Koo drilled a 40 yard field goal as time expired to give the Falcons their first win of the season. New York outgained Atlanta 346-296 in the sloppy contest, but they committed 8 penalties to Atlanta’s 4.

Saquon Barkley scored his first touchdown since 2019 but rushed for just 51 yards on 16 carries. Barkley is averaging just a little over 3.4 yards per carry on the season through three games. Daniel Jones finished with no touchdowns and 266 yards on 24/35 passing. Jones fumbled twice but they were both recovered. The teams had six total punts and two combined turnovers through the first half.
