Everyone knows the most popular sport in Mexico is soccer, aka association football. In other words, the men who play for the clubs in Mexico are fierce, and their games are intense to watch. It is super exciting to hear that the Philadelphia Union will be hosting Mexican club Pumas UNAM in their second international friendly match at Talen Energy Stadium.

Mexxican Flag and Soccer BallThe Pumas are based out of Ciudad Universitaria in Mexico City. They play their home games at Estadio Olímpico Universitario, located on National Autonomous University of Mexico’s (NAUM) main campus. Fun fact, the club originally began as an amateur club of college students, and it is now one of the biggest stadiums in Mexico.

On Saturday, September 7, the Pumas will not be playing their match at NAUM, instead they’ll be in Philadelphia enjoying the energy of the Union’s stadium. The match is set for a 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff.

The match counts as the bonus game for all Union Full Season Ticket Members and is included in their memberships. Season Ticket Members and corporate partners will receive a pre-sale code to purchase additional tickets during an exclusive window beginning Monday, July 22 at 10:00 a.m. eastern time. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Tuesday, July 23 at 10:00 a.m. ET. For all ticket information, visit www.philadelphiaunion.com.
