The New Mutants Removes All X-Men References

Could the X-Men be joining the MCU sooner rather than later? The New Mutants, Fox’s latest X-Men flick, has removed all references to previous X-Men films in post-production. What could this signal? This could potentially be a sign that The New Mutants could be close to joining the MCU in the very near future. It is scheduled to hit theaters in April 2020.

Bloodshot Trailer Coming in October

According to director Dave Wilson, the Valiant comic book character starring Vin Diesel, will finally release its much anticipated trailer in October. Sony is hoping to turn Bloodshot into a franchise with multiple film adaptations. Bloodshot will hit theaters in February 2020.

Charlize Theron’s Cipher will be in Fast & Furious 9

And she’s got a new haircut. The cyber-terrorist will join Vin Diesel in Fast & Furious 9. We don’t know much more about the film, other than some stunt filming in the streets of Georgia.

Could the huge positive buzz about Joker mean that Joaquin Phoenix is joining the DCEU? In an interview with Variety, Pattinson retracted a statement about Phoenix possibly joining the DCEU. Other DCEU projects include Birds of PreyWonder Woman 1984 and Aquaman 2.

Tom Holland Wants Miles Morales in Next Film

Now that Spider-Man is out of the MCU, how would Tom Holland proceed as the friendly neighborhood Night Monkey? He wants Miles Morales and its a great choice. Miles Morales was heavily featured in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which has a sequel in development. Into the Spider-Verse 2 will continue the romance between Miles and Gwen.

Gretel & Hansel is Dark and Looks Glorious

The first teaser for Gretel & Hansel was released and it looks fantastic. This new, dark take on the bedtime story will hit theaters on January 31st, 2020. This is definitely one to keep an eye on.

New Bad Boys for Life Trailer

One last time… Check out the brand new trailer for Bad Boys for Life… The sequel came out 16 years ago. No, that’s not a typo. Mike and Marcus are returning to the big screen and it looks as ridiculous as ever. And that’s not a bad thing. Bad Boys for Life hits theaters on January 17th, 2020.

The Mandalorian Will Explore the Origins of the First Order

The biggest show of the year, not named Game of Thrones, will explore the how the First Order and their rise to power. It will be a deep dive on the complicated business of being a Bounty Hunter and remnants of the fallen Empire will have a big part in the series.

Tomb Raider Sequel Coming in 2021

Alicia Vikander will be returning as Lara Croft! Ben Wheatley has joined to direct the sequel with a release date scheduled for March 19th, 2021. I loved the darker, grittier version of Tomb Raider in 2018. Who doesn’t love a good, summer popcorn flick?

Sony will put Spider-Man into Venom Villain Universe

Not a surprise to anyone, but it was revealed that Sony intends to put Spider-Man into the Venom-verse moving forward. I fully expect that the much anticipated Venom/Spider-Man vs Carnage team-up movie is in pre-production. I also expect a soft reboot from the MCU Spider-Man. As you can tell, I have very mixed emotions about this.

Jack Ryan Season Two Gets a Release Date

The much anticipated, second season of Jack Ryan will release on Friday, November 1st. I absolutely loved the first season of Jack Ryan and cannot wait for his story to continue. What do we know so far? John Krasinski is headed to a Venezuelan jungle to investigate an illegal arms deal.

Brendan Fraser wants another Mummy Flick

THIS JUST KEEPS GETTING BETTER AND BETTER! “If there is a fun way to do it again, then I’m all in,” says Fraser in a recent interview. I think I can speak for everyone that the Tom Cruise adaptation was terribly disappointing. I also think I speak for everyone when I say we are all in for another Mummy movie starring Brendan Fraser, Rachel Weisz and Dwane Johnson. It’s been a long wait, as The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor released over a decade ago. PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE!

The Script for The Batman is Complete

REJOICE BATMAN FANS! Matt Reeves’ The Batman has been in development for quite some time and it’s finally going down. My body is ready.
