Recap

DALLAS COWBOYS @ PHILADELPHIA EAGLES

The Cowboys curiously opted to play their starters into the fourth quarter and victimized an Eagles team that rested almost all of theirs to the tune of a 51-26 win. Dak Prescott threw a career-high 5 TDs and completed 21-27 passes for 295 yards as the Dallas offense totaled 475 total yards.

Gardner Minshew started for the Eagles and finished with 186 yards with 2 TDs and an interception. DeVonta Smith started the game but left early to join most other resting starters after catching 3 passes for 41 yards. Those numbers brought Smith’s season total to 916 which gave him the Eagles franchise record for rookies that was previously held by DeSean Jackson.

WASHINGTON FOOTBALL TEAM @ NEW YORK GIANTS

Washington finished out its schedule with a 22-7 win on the road against the Giants. Bobby McCain picked off Jake Fromm twice as the Washington defense held New York to just 177 total yards and forced three total turnovers, all from Fromm. The Giants offense had 83 net passing yards as Fromm only threw for 103 and was sacked three times.

Antonio Gibson led the way for the Football Team’s offense, rushing for 146 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries. Terry McLaurin had 4 catches for 93 yards which was good enough to give him his second consecutive 1,000-yard season in just his third year in the NFL.Â
