April wasn’t so different than March for my 2022 NHL Draft rankings. However, there was some notable movement outside of my top 10.  Here are a few highlights for the month of March:

D Pavel Mintyukov

Mintyukov has had a stellar last six weeks or so in OHL play. With 62 points in 67 games, he is putting up stellar offensive numbers as an 18-year-old at the OHL level. Mintyukov has an excellent first pass and moves the puck up the ice quickly. He could find himself just outside the top-10 with this type of play by seasons’ end.

W Filip Mesar

The diminutive Slovakian forward has been slowly moving up my list this season. Putting up 16 points as an 18-year-old in Slovakia’s top league is no small feat and Mesar has shown his size isn’t a detriment to production, even against older competition. His agility and high overall offensive skill set have him approaching the mid-first round.

D Kevin Korchinski

Korchinski is in his second full season in the WHL, and he is only 17. He has both size and offensive ability, including 47 assists already this season. Korchinski has shown steady overall improvement and continued offensive prowess as the season has progressed. He is going to compete for a higher ranking amongst blue liners in this draft class as well.

Here are my 2022 March Draft Rankings.
